Acing Your Remote Staff Interview

Remote interviews made it easier for companies to screen potential candidates and to save the candidate’s time, effort and money for travel. This makes it a much more convenient option for both parties.

However, these interviews aren’t less intimidating and stressful than the traditional interview process. Hence, in this module, you will find useful guide in helping you ace your remote interviews.

Tip #1: Dress up and look presentable.

Always look your best as if you’re having the interview in person. Going at a remote interview doesn’t mean you have to be less professional and business-like.

Tip #2: Wear a headphone with microphone.

See to it the you’re using the right equipment for your interviewers to hear, if not see, you clearly. If you can’t afford to purchase a high quality technology yet, then borrow an equipment from family or friends that will suit your needs.

Tip #3: Check your internet connection.

Make sure that you have a good internet connection. You don’t want to blow up your interview with bad internet connection.

Tip #4: Select a distraction-free location.

Scout for a place at your home that is quiet and free from any kinds of distractions. This is to ensure that your interview goes smoothly. Also pay special attention to your background or backdrop; you don’t want interviewers to see a cluttered or messy place behind you.

Tip #5: Be ready for the Q&A.

Do a little research about the company and if possible, the person who will interview you. Know your stuff as well.

Good luck!
